Peptide concentration calculator
Work out the concentration of a reconstituted research peptide from the mass in the vial and the volume of diluent added. Laboratory maths only.
How it works
Concentration is mass divided by volume. A vial holding 10 mg with 2 mL of diluent added gives 5 mg/mL, which is 5,000 mcg/mL (1 mg is 1,000 mcg).
To find the volume that contains a target mass, divide that mass by the concentration. At 5,000 mcg/mL, 250 mcg is in 0.05 mL.
The calculator assumes the labelled mass is fully dissolved and the added volume is the final volume. Check both against your own laboratory records.
